School Board Incumbents File for Re-Election

As of Tuesday morning, no challengers have filed for the April election.

The filing period opened Tuesday morning for residents interested in running for election on the Brentwood and Maplewood Richmond Heights school boards. The municipal election has been set for April 3.

Brentwood Board of Education

Katrina Harper, who was , was the only candidate to file on Tuesday morning.

Two three-year terms are up for election, including the seat of incumbent Kathy Glowski, who said she won't seek re-election in April.

The filing period will continue until Jan. 17. Interested residents may file at the district's central office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Filing won't occur on days when inclement weather closes the office, unless that day is the first or last day of filing. Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Resident taxpayer of the school district
  • Missouri resident for at least one year preceding the date of office
  • At least 24 years old

MRH Board of Education

School board incumbents Lamar Agard, Francis Chmelir and Ralph Posley were the only candidates to file for re-election on Tuesday.

Three three-year terms are up for election in April. The district's central office will accept notices from interested residents between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Jan. 17.

The office will be closed on Dec. 23, 26, 30 and Jan. 2. Candidates must bring a 200-word biographical summary and photograph. Additionally, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Resident taxpayer of the school district
  • Missouri resident for at least one year preceding the election
  • At least 24 years old
