Upon Seemayer's resignation in March, he had a balance of 120 sick leave days and 25 days, city administrator Bola Akande said. Seemayer forfeited roughly $30,000 to pay for the city's legal fees, though he was still cut a $42,000 check for the remaining pay.

Harris doesn't want that to happen in Clayton. She said that it's important for people to know Clayton is paying attention and that the city might make policy changes based on the city's labor attorney's findings.
