Traffic on Eulalie/Rosalie Gains Aldermanic Attention

The Brentwood residential streets could be targets of future traffic studies.

The number of cars that drive through Eulalie and Rosalie avenues concerns Ward 2 Alderman Lee Wynn.

He shared what he calls a "traffic problem" with fellow Brentwood aldermen during a Public Works Committee meeting last Monday at . Cars pass between Brentwood Boulevard and Hanley Roads using the two residential streets, Wynn said.

He couldn't recall any major accidents since during the last 40 years he's lived in the area, but several car mirrors have been clipped by cars driving down the narrow streets, he said.

Ward 3 Alderman Andrew Leahy asked if residents would give up one foot of yard to widen the road. That prompted the committee to send the agenda item to the Public Safety Committee for further discussion.

The matter could require traffic studies, city officials noted.
