2 Senators Honor Brentwood High School

The Board of Education of Brentwood Schools met on Tuesday, and it was the last for Brentwood Middle School Principal Dr. Julie Sperry and Brentwood High School Principal Dr. Don Rugraff. Both are both retiring after this school year.

Brentwood High School received the Gold Star Award from the Missouri Department of Education in the meeting, and Missouri Senators Joseph Keaveny (D-District 4) and Scott Sifton (D-District 1), listed on the award, were at the meeting to present it to Rugraff.

Dan Willams, a director on the Brentwood board of education told Patch by email that Sperry and Rugraff gave positive reviews of their schools at the board meeting.

Rugraff will be replaced by Dr. Ed Johnson, who has been Brentwood High School's assistant principal/athletic director since 2006.

The search for Dr. Sperry's replacement is underway.
