Blue Devils Are Ready for Baseball

The team has been practicing out at Deer Creek Park these past few warm days.

baseball had a new coach in 2011, as Jonathan Webb, a 2007 MRH graduate took over. This year, new assistant coach , also a 2007 MRH product, is there to help.

Webb and Robertson played together on the last MRH team to reach the district final game, before last year’s team played , which.

Rob Welcker, a social studies teacher in the district, will remain the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach.

MRH is playing this year minus last year’s senior pitchers, Kevin Sapp and Tony Biedenstein, who helped the Blue Devils reach district finals, but Webb said, earlier in the year, not to count them out.

“With all due respect to those players, we’re confident with what we’ve got coming back this year,” Webb said. “We’ve got some guys coming up that have a lot of ability. We’re going look grow as quickly as possible.”
