Brentwood Field Hockey Wins 5 on Season Before Final Tournament

The Eagles played Ladue in their last regular-season game.

Brentwood High School’s field hockey team has won five games so far this year. They had one win all of last year.

The Eagles played their last regular-season game Wednesday against Ladue, losing 4-0. The Midwest Tournament starts next week.

“They've improved a ton,” said first-year coach Janie Schneider. “I’m excited for the tournament next week. I think we even have a chance that we could even win.”

Schneider played field hockey for Brentwood. She's a 2005 BHS graduate.

Ladue coach Barb Dwyer had good things to say about the Eagles, but not their home field.

“Brentwood has improved a lot,” she said. “This field–I don’t know how they play on it. It’s horrible, but despite that, they’re really coming along, and they’re just an enjoyable team to play.”

I don't know much about Mark Twain's field, but if it is anything like McGrath's field it must be horrible.
