Brentwood HS Names New Assistant Principal/Athletic Director

The Brentwood Board of Education announced at its meeting on Tuesday that Stephen Ayotte has been hired as the new assistant principal and athletic director for Brentwood High School .    

Ayotte most recently served as director of secondary education and assistant principal for Confluence Charter Schools in St. Louis, Brentwood school district announced on Wednesday.

Before that, Ayotte served 10 years as curriculum coordinator for Career and Technical Education in the Rockwood School District. He began his career in the Parkway School District in 1995 as a business education teacher.  

He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Louis University, a bachelor’s degree in business education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Maryville University, where he is currently completing the doctoral program in educational leadership. Ayotte has coached baseball, track and field, football, softball, and volleyball. 

Ayotte said he’s eager to get to know the students and families of Brentwood. Also, “my children are looking forward to attending athletic events in Brentwood as well. The sense of pride in the Brentwood traditions comes across in everyone I have met.” 

The previous assistant principal/athletic director, Dr. Ed Johnson, was appointed Brentwood's new principal.
