MRH, Brentwood Football Teams Headed to the Postseason

If both teams win on Wednesday, the Eagles and Blue Devils would play in a rematch next Monday.

High school football fans all over Missouri are giddy with excitement over the start of the MSHSAA playoffs, which begin statewide with games on Wednesday night.

and are among the 184 schools that will be a part of that excitement, as both will get to host home games in the first round of the playoffs at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

MRH (8-2), champions of Class 2 District 4 and the , will open up the playoffs with a matchup against Principia (2-7), the runner-up team in Class 2 District 3, after it .

The Eagles (6-3), who trailed by a touchdown at halftime against Prin, used a big second-half, and four touchdowns from junior Rekardo Owens, to .

Brentwood will begin its playoff run against Carnahan High of St. Louis, the runner-up team in District 4, on Wednesday night. The Eagles are on course for a rematch against archrival MRH in the football super-sectionals, which will be played next Monday, November 7.
