Brentwood Senior Tyler Jones Named Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete

Jones played four years of football and four of wrestling.

 

Brentwood senior Tyler Jones is this year’s recipient of the Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete Award, representing Brentwood High School.

To qualify for this award the candidate must be a senior ranked in the top 25 percent of the class and participate in at least one varsity sport. Jones received this honor earning the most votes out of 16 candidates.

Jones gave four years of service to Brentwood's football and wrestling programs and three years to the baseball program. As a senior, he served as a captain on all three teams while maintaining a 3.82 GPA.

Jones was invited to represent Brentwood High School in the 46th Annual Post-Dispatch Scholar Athletic Recognition Ceremony, to be held at Busch Stadium on May 2. The event includes a pre-game reception, an on-field appearance for the athletes, and tickets to see the St. Louis Cardinals play the Pittsburgh Pirates.
