Girls On The Run, Social Run Through Maplewood

As part of Maplewood's Women Making History Month, Maplewood-based Girls on the Run St. Louis held a social run through Maplewood streets.

The handful of runners who showed up for the Girls on the Run social run had a choice of a 1, 3 or 5-mile run, starting from the office, on Sutton Avenue.

It was beautiful out, and they chose the 3-mile run.

Girls on the Run teaches life lessons to elementary and middle school-age girls, as they get into shape by running. At the end of the program is a race.
