McGrath Elementary New Principal Announced

The principal was introduced in a letter released Wednesday evening by Brentwood's Assistant to the Superintendent David Faulkner.

 

The Brentwood Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jeff Busch to serve as principal of beginning with the 2012/2013 school year. 

Mr. Busch is currently serving as assistant principal at Blevins Elementary in the Rockwood School District. Prior to joining Rockwood, Mr. Busch spent 12 years as a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Illinois, where he also completed his administrative internship.

Mr. Busch earned a specialist degree in education administration and a master’s degree in instructional technology from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.

Mr. Busch was selected from more than 50 applicants in a process that involved four interviews with parents, teachers, administrators, and the school board.

“Mr. Busch’s long experience in the classroom and his genuine enthusiasm were apparent throughout the process,” said David Faulkner, assistant superintendent.

“We are certain that Jeff will connect with the school community and that he will continue the student-centered focus we expect in Brentwood’s schools.”

Mr. Busch will have opportunities to meet the Brentwood staff and students prior to the end of the school year and will take his new position as of July 1.
