MRH 2nd-Grader's Song Wins $1000 For School in Statewide Contest

Maplewood Richmond Heights second grader Sadie Tanner wrote a song that won first place in her age group of the Creating Original Music Project at the University of Missouri

The annual program gives students in Missouri schools the opportunity to write original works and to present these pieces to their schools and at a music festival.

Tanner received a monetary award and MRH Elementary will also receive $1,000 as a result of her accomplishment.

In January, Tanner also took third place in the school-wide spelling bee.
