MRH Athlete Headed to Iowa Western

Marcus Daily accepted a verbal offer for a track scholarship.

Recent football lineman and discus and shot thrower Marcus Daily has accepted a track scholarship to Iowa Western Community College, the home of the Reivers. He said it’s verbal for now, but expects to sign soon.

Daily had been filling out applications online when he came across Iowa Western. He filled out an application and later received a call from the track coach. Daily looked at the school's current athletes and got to know the coach more, then decided Iowa Western was a good fit.

He said he's ready for year-round track training and is looking forward to the indoor winter track season.

"The coach has been working with me to make sure everything is paid for, and to make sure I’m in the right classes," Daily said. "I’ve talked with some of the counselors, and they’ve just been real good to me.”
