MRH Basketball Wins Webster Classic Tourney

It's been a long time since MRH basketball has won a tournament.

Maplewood Richmond Heights basektball looked good early in the season, winning a big area tournament at Webster Groves.

MRH beat Marquette 42-20 in the final, on Saturday. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Since winning back-to–back Missouri Class 3 titles in 2008 and 2009, the Blue Devils had been blanked. That changed Saturday after Kahlid Hagens scored a game-high 23 points and Maplewood’s defense stifled Marquette in a 42-20 victory in the title game of the 13th annual Webster Classic at Roberts Gymnasium on Saturday.
