MRH Boys Win Track Districts, Brentwood's Rivera Sweeps Girls Throws
The Blue Devils won the district meet for the fourth time in five years.
The Maplewood Richmond Heights boys edged out host Principia Saturday to win the MSHSAA Class 2 District 2 track meet.
The Blue Devils finished with 106 points to the Panthers' 101. It was the fourth team district win in five years for the MRH boys. The MRH girls finished fourth.
MRH junior Lawrence Hogue won the long jump and was second in the 400-meter run and the 400. Brentwood junior Justice Bratcher took second in the long jump.

A St. Louis Post-Dispatch article stated Hogue "looked like a seasoned veteran on Saturday, soaring to a jump of 21 feet, 3 inches" in the long jump.
The MRH 4x200 relay team of Kareem Harry, Lamar Agard, Devon Williams and Marquis White, came in first at 1:33.86. Sophomore Kailen Ludwig was first in the discus as well with a toss of 121-5½.

Brentwood freshman Sophia Rivera had an excellent meet, taking home firsts in girls discus and shot put. Her throw of 134-7 in discus and 42-4 in shot put were both personal bests and new Brentwood High School records.
MRH senior Britney Bell took second in both girls throwing events.
