New Brentwood MS Principal Named

The new principal has served in Mehville, Rockwoods and Clayton school districts.

The new Brentwood Middle School principal was announced last week.

Dr. Andrew Loiterstein will replace Dr. Julie Sperry, who announced her decision to retire at the end of May.  

Loiterstein has been the Rockwood Valley Middle School since 2008. Before that, he served as assistant principal in the Mehlville School District at Washington Middle School, according to a press release from Brentwood School district.

Loiterstein taught social studies in the Clayton School District at Wydown Middle School and graduate education courses at Fontbonne and Webster universities before going into administration.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a master’s degree in education administration from Lindenwood University, and his doctorate degree in education administration from Maryville University.

Loiterstein has experience with technology implementation, character education, data analysis and designing interventions for at-risk students. He will begin the position on July 1.
