Not Final That MRH Boys Basketball Going Independent

MRH director of communications said it has to be right for everyone.

The boys basketball team has not been given the “green light to go independent,” as was stated in STLhighschoolsports.com on Friday.

“It’s really not a done deal,” said MRH Director of Communications Brian Adkisson.

Members of the South Central Athletic Association met in early March to discuss MRH leaving the conference.

“Yes there have been discussions, there will be further discussions,” Adkisson said. “The bottom line is we want to make sure we as a district are making a right decision.”

He said it’s how they approach all big decisions within the MRH district.

“It's something that affects us all, and we want to make sure,” he said. “These other schools are our colleagues, our friends, our neighbors. We want to make sure that we're doing the best thing for everybody.”
