Brentwood coach Cory Grage said Bayless always brings a good team.

“They’re athletic and they move the ball well,” he said. It’s something for us to work on and aspire to, we’re five goals better than we were last time, that’s the way we can look at it.”

The last time they played it was a 10-0 Bayless win.

Josh McGehee’s goal halfway through the second half was a scramble. His first shot was blocked.

“After the first time I could not see because I was on the ground,” he said. “Rayce (Lynch) kicked it off the post, and then Jimmy Schoemehl was able to get there, and then it was right next to the goal keeper, so I was able to put it in. that was one of the crazier goals that I’ve ever seen.”

His brother, junior, Dylan McGehee scored again on a free kick just over the Bayless keeper’s hands.

Brentwood’s next game is against Maplewood Richmond Heights (2-10) on Oct. 2.
