King Dominates, Propels MRH to Second Round

Maplewood Richmond Heights beats Lift For Life Academy in the first round of the Class 3, District 5 Tournament, 84-30.

Maplewood Richmond Heights dominated Lift For Life Academy in the first round of the Class 3, District 5 Tournament on Monday night, winning 84-30 in front of the Blue Devils' home crowd.

Senior Tony King fueled the MRH offensive charge, but it was the Blue Devils' stingy defense that controlled the game.

A young Lift For Life Academy team—comprised only of freshmen and sophomores—continually turned the ball over against MRH's full-court press. The frustration was obvious, and the amount of traveling calls on the youthful Hawks in the first half was astounding.
