MLB Ready: High School Baseball Showcase is Friday

The PNC Bank High School Baseball Showcase will be back at Busch Stadium for the fourth year on Friday starting at 7:15 p.m. 

Tickets to the Showcase are free. Each year, 50 of the best high school senior baseball players in Missouri and Illinois get the opportunity to show NCAA coaches and professional scouts they have what it takes to make it in the big leagues.

Following this past weekend's Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft, three players  set to take the field Friday have been drafted: Devin Williams,
Jake Brentz and Calvin Munson.

Past Performance

The Missouri all-stars have beaten the Illinois all-stars in each of the first three years of the Showcase. Missouri won 2-0 in the inaugural game back in 2010, won 8-3 in the second year and 14-1 in 2012.

Luncheon, Home Run Derby, Skills Competition

In addition to the Showcase, the players will be honored at a congratulatory luncheon on the day of the game and be able to participate in a home run derby/skills competition, which is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Busch Stadium.
