Hundreds of Cyclists Bike for Charity in Maplewood

Cranksgiving drew nearly 700 cyclists, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Cyclists swarmed downtown Maplewood over the weekend for the annual Cranksgiving event.

During the event, cyclists pedal to stores in Maplewood and nearby communities to gather groceries for Food Outreach, an organization that helps serve the dietary needs of those living with AIDS or cancer. They ride along pre-determined routes of varying lengths, depending on cycling experience. The routes begin and end at .
