The Maplewood Baptist Church originally started in 1892 in another location, but it is now located in the renovated youth and activities building. The first service in the new building was on Easter Sunday in 2005.

The church participates in several missionary programs and has been involved in projects in Guatemala, Peru, China and Turkey in recent years. It hosts an Awana program on Sunday evenings for grades K-7 and on Wednesday evenings for grades 8-12. The church's full gym lets the congregation play basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer.
