The Missouri Career Center is devoted to helping Missourians find quality employment, whether they are fresh out of school, struggling with a long period of unemployment or newly laid off. The staff aims to assist visitors in evaluating their knowledge and abilities to figure out what their career options are and then offers them resources to help reach those goals.
The center offers workshops in career exploration and success, networking, resume preparation and the interview process. Job seekers also have free access to computers, printers, phones and fax machines.
The Career Center is a source of information and resources to help ease the process of searching for employment. It provides access to financial aid for those pursuing a degree, language proficiency resources, community-based support for basic living needs and resources for entrepreneurs. Job-seekers can also apply for unemployment insurance here and report their progress in-person.
