With the new school year upon us, help get your kids’ brains working again with this fun, free daily email newsletter.
Brentwood and Maplewood Richmond Heights students are back to school, which means it’s time for an abundance of expensive school supplies, backpacks full of complicated text books and dreaded questions about math homework. Henke took the job 12 years ago, when the district was close to losing accreditation. Now, in the last three years, the MRH school district received the highest score possible from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. “I feel that I’ve inherited such a gift,” Hall said. “To have worked side by side with Linda, and then to inherit this amazing school district.” Her first goal is to talk to the stakeholders in the community about what they love about MRH. See more photos on Maplewood-Brentwood Patch Facebook. “The first day we came back, I said, ‘What have you seen that they do that we don’t do?’ and we came up with a whole list of things that we’re going to be working on, just to up our play.” What excites Carmon most this season is that they have a freshman team. “We have had 35 to 40 girls playing volleyball in the past, and we have it again this year, so they got us a freshman coach,” …
