MRH's 'Steel Magnolias' Wins Cappies Nominations
These MRH students and performances were nominated for a Cappies Award — the Tony Award for high school theater.
High school theater performers and organizers from Maplewood Richmond Heights grabbed several nominations for Cappies Awards — the high school equivalent of the Tony Awards on Broadway. The awards will be announced at the annual Cappies gala on May 19, at 6 p.m., at the Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center on the campus of Missouri Baptist University. MRH scored a best play nomination for its production of Steel Magnolias, along with its lead actress, Alex Ford, for best lead actress in a play.
