Brentwood, Maplewood Crime Logs: April 6-14

Brentwood April 12 Witnesses of an accident, at noon, in the 1600 block of Hanley Road, said a maroon Chrysler Pacifica with Wisconsin license plates left the scene of the accident. April 13 A 16-year-old girl was reported to have taken her mother’s cell phone and run away from home, from her residence in the 2600 block of Annalee Avenue. Maplewood April 8 An unknown suspect stole a television and a laptop computer from an apartment in the 2600 block of Bellevue Avenue.  April 10 A 20-year-old man was arrested in the 2800 block of Laclede Station Road for suspicion of possessing marijuana. Brentwood  April 3 At 10 a.m. a police officer stopped a 25-year-old man for a traffic violation at Hanley Road and Musick Memorial Drive. The man was later arrested for suspicion of possessing controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. April 3 At 2:46 p.m. a 55-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of stealing alcohol from a business in the Brentwood Promenade. April 4 At 4:20 p.m. a 31-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of stealing insulation and wiring from a business in the 1600 block of Hanley Road. April 5 At 1:57 p.m. a 22-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of stealing computer games from a business in the Brentwood Promenade. Assault on Bremerton Road, Hit and Run at Brentwood Promenade

March 5 At 10:52 a.m. police were called to the Brentwood Promenade for a traffic accident. The caller reported that a maroon 2001 Ford Ranger pick-up had backed into his car, then left the scene. March 10 At 4:45 p.m. an officer observed a person running from a store in the 8300 block of Eager Road. A 28-year-old man was arrested for stealing electronic items. At 12:17 a.m. police responded to the 2700 block of Bremerton Road for a report of an assault. A 31-year-old man was arrested for assault.

Laptop, Cash Reported Stolen from Maplewood Home

At 5:44 p.m., a laptop and cash were reported stolen from a home in the 7600 block of Flora Avenue. At 8:13 p.m., an arrest was made in connection with the possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3700 block of Cambridge Avenue. SpongeBob Nabbed at Waffle House

A roundup of odd, unusual and head-scratching crime reports in and around the area.

Returning Maternity Clothes? At the Saint Louis Galleria in Richmond Heights, a pregnant woman assaulted a Victoria's Secret store clerk April 26 after the clerk refused to let her return an item. As she was being arrested, her water broke and she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The Square Pants Also Could Have been A Giveaway Taco Bell employees in Arnold reported April 22 that a man wearing a SpongeBob hat stole a donation jar holding less than $10. Police found the suspect at a nearby  Waffle House. The Radio Was in the Closet? A burglar went to a lot of trouble by breaking a bedroom window, entering an apartment and rifling through a bedroom closet, only to steal a $25 portable radio.
