The 30-40-pound tortoise, which has a dog ID tag affixed to its back was apparently stolen Apr. 22. Pizza Delivery Chronicles: Chesterfield Edition An 18-year-old man walked into a Chesterfield pizza joint on Ladue Road on March 27 and threatened employees with a lacrosse stick before walking out with two bags of potato chips. Pizza Delivery Chronicles: Manchester Edition Another pizza delivery problem occurred in Manchester on March 21. The driver delivered the pizza without incident, but he had failed to lock his car, had left the car keys in the ignition and had left it running. Upon returning from delivering the pizza, the delivery driver discovered his car was gone. Home Depot Employee Was a 'Changed' Woman A Ballwin woman was charged March 21 with stealing more than $98,000 in change from her employer, Home Depot in Ellisville. Court documents indicate the woman, Janet Sanguinett, 51, placed orders for coins for her employer between 2006 and 2009 as part of her duties as a vault associate. Rather than stock and log the coins' arrival, however, Sanguinett "pocketted" the change. She eventually confessed. Tale of Two Caravans One Maryland Heights homeowner is relieved while another became a victim of a car thief on March 26. The thief apparently had a liking for Dodge Caravans. Baby's First Bust: I Don't Know How Those 128 Items Got There Three adults and a juvenile were arrested March 1 after leaving a Gravois Bluffs store without paying for 128 items concealed in their shopping cart, under a baby in a car seat. A search turned up 94 items of kids clothing, three toys, three items of men's clothing, four intimate clothing items, six items of women's clothing, nine items of junior clothing, four domestic items, one stationary item and four pairs of shoes for a total of $2,264.81. As fundraisers go, few provide the participation, fun and frivolity of a trivia night. St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Brentwood hosted a trivia night for the Mid-County Family YMCA on Friday. It was a standard agenda: 10 rounds of 10 questions with the usual added diversions of a 50/50 drawing, heads and tails contest and a raffle for a wheelbarrow of booze. The tables of competitors matched wits with one another to see who could summon the most arcane of answers. There actually were only 98 questions in play, as emcee Kay Quinn of KSDK started off one round by reading the answers instead of the questions.
