Brentwood Football Players Also Excel Off the Field

Three senior football players from Brentwood High School were named academic all-state.

The postseason recognition continues for Brentwood football players, who fought to a successful 10-2 season this past fall.  Seniors Nick Featherston, David Rivera and Evan Sigler were named academic all-state.  "We talk a lot about trying to excel in all areas of your life," said Coach Keith Herring in a Tuesday email to Patch. "Not only is school the most important aspect of being a student/athlete, but it will have an effect on your performance on the field. If you are not handling your business in an area such as academics, relationships and citizenship, it will creep into the athletic area in a negative manner."
