Man Stole $900 at Knife-Point in Craiglist Robbery on Galleria Lot, Police Say

Richmond Heights Police said the man placed a false ad for an iPhone online and met the victim Dec. 7 in the St. Louis Galleria parking lot.

A man robbed another man in the St. Louis Galleria parking lot Dec. 7 after placing a false Craigslist ad for an iPhone, according to Richmond Heights Police Kerron Cowan, 26, of the 300 block of Chapel Hill Road in Hazelwood, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Richmond Heights Police said the man and victim agreed to meet in the St. Louis Galleria parking lot in Richmond Heights after the victim responded to a Craigslist ad for an iPhone 5. Police said Cowan got into the victim’s car, pulled out a knife with an eight-inch blade and demanded his money. The victim gave him $900 in cash. Commercialism is all around Brentwood during the holiday season. The Brentwood Promenade and Brentwood Square are bustling with people ready to soak up the commercial Christmas vibes and get their shopping done in style. But let's take a more traditional look at the holiday season by observing how the holiday was celebrated in the past. The first publicly recorded community celebration was in 1929. Held in front of the former City Hall at 1115 North and South road (now Brentwood Boulevard), each child was given a bag of candy from Santa Claus.
