Shaquilla East was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after being detained for stealing at the mall.
A woman caught shoplifting at the St. Louis Galleria also was carrying a concealed handgun, police said. Shaquilla East, 19, of the 4900 block of Plover Avenue in St. Louis, was charged April 18 with unlawful use of a weapon. Richmond Heights Police said East was detained for shoplifting on April 17 at the Galleria. When police searched her purse, they found a handgun. East was released from St. Louis County Justice Center Friday. Bail was set at $7.500.

Brentwood Police said the men took the woman to an ATM and forced her to withdraw cash; two are charged with forcible sodomy.
Three men were accused Monday of robbing a couple at gunpoint last March , took the woman and forced her to give oral sex to one of the men in Brentwood Park. Brentwood Police said the three men robbed a man of cash and took the woman’s cell phone at about 2:45 a.m. March 9. They then took the woman to an ATM and forced her to withdraw cash. Each of the following men were charged Monday with felonious restraint, five counts of armed criminal action, first-degree attempted robbery and two counts of first-degree robbery: Clark also was charged with forcible sodomy and Brandon was charged with attempted forcible sodomy. A St. Louis man was charged Thursday with unlawful use of a weapon after a traffic stop in Maplewood. Maplewood Police said in a report that they pulled over Brandon J. Knighten at the intersection of Sussex and Cambridge avenues for a traffic violation and outstanding warrants Sept. 22. Knighten, 22, is from the 4500 block of Arco in St. Louis. A car search after the arrest discovered a loaded Hi-Point .45 cal handgun under the driver’s seat and a small bag of marijuana in Knighten’s sock, according to the report. Bond was set at $5,000. Three of four suspects were charged Monday with robbing a man at gunpoint in a Brentwood home. Charged with first-degree burglary, three counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of first-degree robbery were: Brentwood Police said four men entered a home in the 9400 block of Parkside Drive in Brentwood at about 8:40 a.m. Sunday. Police said Rush had a handgun. A victim told police that Rush pointed the handgun at him and pulled the trigger, and the victim heard a click. The gun did not fire. Police say Janet Miraglia and another suspect kicked in a motel room door and robbed a couple at gunpoint, taking their car and $10,000.
A Maplewood woman was charged with breaking into a motel room in Bel-Ridge and helping rob a couple staying in the room. Janet Miraglia, 28, of the 3600 block of Manhattan in Maplewood, was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action and first-degree burglary. Bel-Ridge police said a man Miraglia was with kicked open a door at the Springdale Motel just off Natural Bridge Road near Interstate 170. As Miraglia took the woman’s purse and cell phone, the man threatened to shoot one of the victims if they did not turn over the keys to their 2004 Ford Mustang, police said. The same man was charged Thursday with a robbery on the Mehlville Kmart parking lot.
A man charged in a Mehlville Kmart robbery also was charged Friday by the county prosecutor with two robberies in Brentwood. Curtis Edwards, 28, faces two counts of first-degree robbery in Brentwood; the first was attempted, the second was succesful, but he was caught after a chase. Brentwood Police said in a report that Edwards approached a woman in the Promenade shopping center parking lot May 23 and told her to give him her purse or he would shoot her. The woman ran away. Police said five days later, on Thursday, Edwards approached another woman on the Shane Co. parking lot and demanded her purse and threatened to shoot her. The woman gave him her purse.
