Ice Cream Man Makes Last Rounds Before Winter
Ice cream man Tim Winfield prepares to put his song-playing, ice cream-bearing truck away for the season.
The truck screams, "Hello," and then proceeds to play a song with bells and whistles. Its white body is tattooed with action figures, pictures of sweets and caution signs. The driver is known simply as the Ice Cream Man. This weekend, or possibly the next, will be the last time that you can catch the Ice Cream Man, Tim Winfield, out in his truck. With a prediction of rain and dropping temperatures, Winfield said it's time to put the truck away until February. A salesman by trade, Winfield plans to sell hot tubs after the ice cream truck season, but his heart is in selling ice cream to the kids. "It is all about the kids.
