Police: Woman Raids Maplewood Home to Steal Safe, Jewelry, Electronics

A St. Louis woman has been charged with burglary and theft in the incident.

A woman was charged with burglarizing a Maplewood home, stealing a safe, computer, electronics and other items. Ceara N. Goudy, 21, of the 3200 block of Henrietta Avenue in South St. Louis, was charged Jan. 17 with second-degree burglary and felony theft. Maplewood Police said Goudy and another woman entered a home in the 7500 block of Comfort Avenue between 7:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9. Police said she and another woman stole a gold wedding band, two watches, two gold necklaces, a Cornwell diagnostic computer, a digital camera and a safe that contained cash and personal documents. The stolen property’s value was estimated at about $3,000, according to a police report. Police found the discarded safe in Richmond Heights with a purse …
