Both the Eagles and Blue Devils hope to rebound from a couple losses on Monday night.
Still early in the 2011-12 season, the Maplewood Richmond Heights and Brentwood girls basketball teams are both playing in the Whitfield Tournament this week. The teams started with a pair of losses on Monday night against John Burroughs and Whitfield. Both teams will be in action on Wednesday with a pair of games scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. MRH is set to take on St. Elizabeth’s Academy in Whitfield’s gym no. 1, while Brentwood will play Valley Park at the same time, in gym no. 2. MRH is 1-2 on the season with Antonia Lee leading the way with 9.7 points/game. Brentwood is 0-5 so far, with junior center Meredith McGrath leading the Eagles in points (7.5 per game) and rebounds (11.2 per game).
