Arrests Made in Connection to Home Burglary, Stolen Purse and DWI in Maplewood

Brentwood  April 3 At 10 a.m. a police officer stopped a 25-year-old man for a traffic violation at Hanley Road and Musick Memorial Drive. The man was later arrested for suspicion of possessing controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. April 3 At 2:46 p.m. a 55-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of stealing alcohol from a business in the Brentwood Promenade. April 4 At 4:20 p.m. a 31-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of stealing insulation and wiring from a business in the 1600 block of Hanley Road. April 5 At 1:57 p.m. a 22-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of stealing computer games from a business in the Brentwood Promenade. Laptop, Cash Reported Stolen from Maplewood Home

Maplewood-Brentwood Patch publishes a compilation of crime activity in Brentwood and Maplewood. Information for the Maplewood police blotter is obtained through the Missouri Sunshine Law. Monday, May 9 At 1:04 p.m., an arrest was made in connection with a trespassing at a gas station in the 3600 block of S. Big Bend Boulevard. At 5:44 p.m., a laptop and cash were reported stolen from a home in the 7600 block of Flora Avenue. At 8:13 p.m., an arrest was made in connection with the possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3700 block of Cambridge Avenue. Returning Maternity Clothes? At the Saint Louis Galleria in Richmond Heights, a pregnant woman assaulted a Victoria's Secret store clerk April 26 after the clerk refused to let her return an item. As she was being arrested, her water broke and she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The Square Pants Also Could Have been A Giveaway Taco Bell employees in Arnold reported April 22 that a man wearing a SpongeBob hat stole a donation jar holding less than $10. Police found the suspect at a nearby  Waffle House. The Radio Was in the Closet? A burglar went to a lot of trouble by breaking a bedroom window, entering an apartment and rifling through a bedroom closet, only to steal a $25 portable radio. Two Men Arrested in Connection with Maplewood Holdup

Abraham Fields and Allen Coleman have been charged in the May 7 armed robbery at a convenience store on Manchester Road.

Maplewood police have arrested two men in connection with the May 7 armed robbery at Candyland convenience store at 7181 Manchester Road. Abraham Fields, 18, of North St. Louis County, and Allen Coleman, 19, of Bridgeton, were both charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. The two are charged with stealing $118.04 in cash during the holdup. The May 7 incident was the third armed robbery in two weeks in Maplewood. There was an armed robbery April 25 at DC Auto Sales in the 2800 block of S. Big Bend Blvd. and another on May 5, when two victims were held up on a street in the 3600 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
