The administrators will begin their new roles in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District on July 1.
Two new administrators will provide leadership at Maplewood Richmond Heights elementary and middle schools starting July 1, the MRH School District announced late Tuesday morning. Jason Adams will become principal at MRH Elementary School, while Michael Dittrich will become assistant principal at MRH Middle School. “We are delighted to have both Jason and Mike join our MRH family,” stated Dr. Linda Henke, the district's superintendent, in a news release. “Both are wonderful additions for our district and we have the utmost confidence in their commitment to our students our mission.” Adams previously served as assistant principal of Ross Elementary School in the Parkway School District and as a teacher at Tillman Elementary School in the …

Michael Maclin will leave his position as an assistant principal at Maplewood Richmond Heights High School to become principal at University City High School. The School District of University City has hired Maclin, who will officially begin the position July 1. He will participate in planning activities before his official start date. Trina Petty-Rice will be stepping in for Karen Smith, who is retiring after this year.
Mark Twain Elementary Principal Karen Smith is retiring after this year and will be succeeded by Trina Petty-Rice, a principal in the Ladue School District. Knowing a new principal at Mark Twain will be stepping into big shoes, Maplewood-Brentwood Patch didn’t want to be the one to bring up the subject. But Petty-Rice took the opportunity in her first breath. She said she’s looking forward to continuing Smith’s legacy. “She is a phenomenal educator,” Petty-Rice said. “I’ll be going to a school of National Character, a school that is truly invested in children.
