A mild winter has turned into temperatures in the 70s and 80s in the first weeks of March.
No one could be blamed to think St. Louis is out of winter for good this year. What winter there was seems to be turning into a very early spring. On a drive from the south of Maplewood, through neighborhood streets to the St. Louis Bread Co. in Brentwood, signs of spring are everywhere. You are so welcome, Laura. I think we could do more than you think without spending anything. I know of some resources, such as where to get free mulch, compost, etc., which, with a few nice plants, could probably get your soil in good condition and look good too. Sometimes less is more. A west facing home is something I would love, as I tend to love things that bloom. Most plants bloom better …   more ›
