Kathie Immormino Sutin, an award-winning freelance writer-photographer, has the distinction of being named the Missouri Communicator of the Year for nine straight years by the Missouri Professional Communicators (formerly Missouri Press Women). The honor goes to the member accruing the most points in the organization's annual communication contest.

Sutin earned a degree in journalism at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) back when it actually had a journalism department.

Her works have appeared in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Midwest Traveler, Southern Traveler, St. Louis Parent, Hooked on the Outdoors, Missouri Life, St. Louis Magazine, Go Magazine and Sauce Magazine among others. Formerly Sutin was a reporter for a daily newspaper, editor of a weekly paper and a public relations specialist. She especially enjoys writing about health, travel, artists, business, food and people.
