ReplyI agree that it is a shame (I even signed the petition to save it) but if the Book House comes to Maplewood, we are the winners (and Rock HIll the losers) in this situation!

ReplyIt's heartbreaking to see what we lost when the wedge building was torn down! Thanks so much for these posts, Doug. I love knowing more about the history of our town!

ReplyI agree with everyone. I go there because I love Trader Joe's, but every single time I go, I wish the parking lot was slanted for easier parking. I do usually park in one of the rarely used spots, but that is a hassle too, getting in and out of the parking lot in general is a pain and walking through that parking lot with my kids is horrible because most of the drivers are frustrated and so eager to get out of the parking lot they don't watch very closely for pedestrians. It's just a irritating experience.

ReplyI've been wondering about that forever, do they own the building or something?

Jack, of course I think Patch should report crimes, that's all part of being a news source. I simply meant it felt as if that was all that was being headlined. For a stretch there I felt as if everyday I had an email with a crime as the title. I do think Patch should report any and all crimes they can.
Ryan, I haven't felt this way lately, the headlines must have changed, or maybe there's less crime? Kidding :)
I love Patch. I love the stories about the upcoming events in my neighborhood, the breaking news about the school district, the new shops opening soon, the historic backstories. And these are just a few of the kinds of stories I enjoy. I'm sorry if I made it seem as if I think Patch should be tailored just to me.
I love Patch, especially for the discussions and debates generated here. And the chance to speak my mind!

This is a terrible idea and it shouldn't even be considered.
